CAF donates USD 250,000 to assist in alleviating oil spill in Trinidad and Tobago

CAF -Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean- approved a donation of USD 250,000 for Trinidad and Tobago, which will assist in alleviating the effects of the oil spill that has affected the coast of Tobago, damaged its beaches, reefs, and threatened the local tourism industry.

In a letter addressed to Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, the Executive President of CAF, Sergio Díaz-Granados, expressed the solidarity of the institution with the effects of the spill of oil on the coast of Tobago, and announced an immediate donation of USD 250,000 to the country to alleviate the effects of the disaster.
